·         Training of staff on Munsys Applications for AutoCAD Map.

·         Gave training in Cadastral Survey office procedures.

·         Support in troubleshooting and solving software problems.

·         Researching and solving spatial data inconsistencies.

·         Capturing and mapping cadastral data into a spatial database and maintaining and updating of spatial data.

·         Salary=8.00/hour (converted from Rand to Dollar)

·         Emigrated from South Africa to the United States after contract work ended.

 

GIS Mapping Technician

September 9, 2006 - May 8, 2007: Open Spatial Solutions, Raslouw, Gauteng, South Africa

·         Project manager for spatial capturing projects.

·         Gave training on Munsys Applications for AutoCAD Map.

·         Capturing of spatial data. Munsys Applications used was cadastral, drainage, sewer, roads and electricity.

·         Did quality control on data captured.

·         Salary=4.00/hour (converted from Rand to Dollar)

·         Left contract work for much higher paid contract work.

 

GIS Mapping/Survey Technician

·         Capturing and mapping cadastral data into a spatial database and maintaining and updating of spatial data.

·         Worked with Regis software, Autodesk World, AutoCAD Map and Munsys Application for AutoCAD Map.

·         Team Leader on mapping projects, supervised junior staff and did quality control on spatial data.

·         Gave training on Cadastral Survey office procedures as well as on the software used.

·         Researching and solving spatial data inconsistencies.
